Mission

Mission Statement

Team Thunder Puss is committed to promoting gender equity and building community in the sport of disc golf. We do this through our non-profit sponsorship program, which supports female athletes in their pursuit of excellence.

Our mission is to empower women in disc golf by providing financial assistance and mentorship, as well as opportunities to connect with other female athletes.

We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and teamwork among our sponsored athletes, and to promoting the values of sportsmanship and fair play in all aspects of the sport.

Team Member Code of Conduct

1. Good Sportsmanship

  • Embrace the spirit of fair play and treat all participants with respect and sportsmanship

  • Uphold the principles of camaraderie, integrity, and courtesy on and off the disc golf course

2. Adherence to PDGA Rules

  • Adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) during sanctioned events

  • Familiarize yourself with and follow the PDGA guidelines to ensure fair and respectful competition

3. Tagging TTP in Tournament Posts

  • Actively contribute to the visibility and success of Team Thunder Puss through your personal social media channels

  • At least one tagged post per sponsored event is required to highlight the contribution of TTP

  • Proudly tag Team Thunder Puss in all social media posts related to sponsored tournaments or competitive events

  • Use official team hashtags when applicable to promote a unified online presence

4. Wearing TTP Merchandise in Final Rounds

  • Demonstrate team unity and promote the TTP mission by wearing Team Thunder Puss merchandise during final rounds of sponsored events

  • Promote the team’s brand positively through appearances in official gear

  • If sponsored for a one-round tournament, the only round is the final round

5. Social Media Etiquette

  • Share positive and supportive content that aligns with the values and mission of Team Thunder Puss and that supports women in disc golf

  • Avoid engaging in or promoting any form of online harassment or negative behavior

  • Avoid posting offensive, discriminatory, or controversial material that may reflect poorly on the team

  • Prioritize professionalism and integrity in all online interactions

NOTE: The definition of appropriate social media content includes any posts, comments, or media that respect the dignity of individuals, refrain from offensive language or imagery, and contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for women in disc golf. All members are expected to uphold these standards in their online interactions through their year of sponsorship and any time while wearing their TTP merchandise in the future.

The money raised by Team Thunder Puss is aimed to cover registration costs for women to play in organized disc golf events. We are deepening the competitive field in the women’s divisions in events of all sizes. We are working hard to #growthesport.
